A security door carries perforated aluminium sheet rather than mesh, and that is not something we make or re-sheet.

We haven’t seen your screens, so we have guessed high on purpose. These are the places where.
We’ve allowed half an hour a window and an hour a door. That is us on a bad day, wrestling a frame that will not cooperate. Most screens are nothing like that.
Bring a few at once and they go quicker again. Once the bench is set up and the mesh is off the roll, the second and third take a fraction of the time the first one did. You pay for the time it actually takes, not the time we guessed. Nobody has ever rung up cross because the bill came in under the quote.
We’ve allowed 50 mm spare each side. That sounds generous right up until you have tried rolling spline into a piece that finished 5 mm short, and then you get to buy it twice.
Your numbers get you a price, not a cutting list. We re-measure everything on the bench before anything is cut, so a tape held slightly crooked in a dark laundry costs you nothing.
We re-mesh flyscreen windows and doors. Security doors are a different job and not one we take on. Those carry perforated aluminium sheet in a heavy frame, which is fitted rather than re-meshed.
This price assumes the frame is straight and only wants new mesh. A bent corner, a chewed spline groove, or a handle hanging on by memory is a different job. If we find one, we ring you before we touch it. No surprises on the counter.
